With recent alarming reports on the state of the Environment from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, recently identified at COP 26 we are at a pivotal time to decide our future priorities with respect to caring for Creation, in order to avoid contributing to serious environmental problems in the future. Our environmental advocacy intersects with many other Pax Christi initiatives such as Militarism, Extractivism and the Blue Scarf Walks, and Pax Christi has advocated for more ambitious targets in budget consultations and Just Transition legislation. On April 4, 2022 Pax Christi joined the growing Laudato Si’ Action Platform to address the 7 goals for care of our Common Home.
